Buying a used Peugeot 2008
The 2008 is Peugeot’s small SUV. The first generation ran from 2013 to 2019; the second generation, from 2019, is larger inside and was also sold as the electric e-2008.
What to check
- Many 2008s have the 1.2 PureTech petrol, whose cambelt runs in engine oil. Look for on-time oil changes with the correct oil, and ask about the belt’s condition and replacement history.
- Check the small steering wheel and high-set dials suit your driving position — Peugeot’s “i-Cockpit” layout suits most people but not everyone.
- Make sure the touchscreen, air conditioning and parking sensors all work.
